• We were created in the image of God as a reflection of God’s love and goodness. Our identity, purpose, and truth are rooted in God’s Word and work.

  • Our world is fallen so God sent His Only Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins.

  • We are redeemed and benefactors of eternal life because Jesus Christ died on Calvary and rose on the third day. We are free from sin.

  • The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. Our daily life decisions should be guided by the Bible.

  • Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him.

  • Although we fall short every day and are imperfect beings, we should strive to please God with our bodies and actions. If we mess up, it’s okay! Just repent and turn.

  • We should surround ourselves with people after Gods own heart; those who can hold us accountable.

  • We are forgiven and no matter what our past looks like, God loves us unconditionally and He has a plan for us.

  • Walking with God is a journey and we should uplift, encourage, and pray for one another.

  • Women should support and encourage one another as we journey through life together.

  • We believe that mentorship is a major key in developing the faith of the next generation. Reaching back and reaching forward is one of our mottos.

  • Jesus was a humble servant, and we model our life after Him by serving our community and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area at large.

Daughter of a King is passionate about helping women by inviting them to attend various events throughout the month. To reach women across the country, Daughter of a King also hosts events that allow virtual interaction and engagement. We desire to meet the needs of the women we serve and in a digital age, that encompasses many different things. Our goal is to grow together, and we encourage input and partnership with other women of faith. We encourage women to pursue their individual purpose and aim to give them the spiritual tools and platform to grow their personal endeavors. This ultimately helps cultivate our movement as a collective: we are stronger together.

Lauren Williams and Meagan Manago received a vision from God for Daughter of a King in July 2017 and it came to life January 2018. It was birthed from their time of personal and spiritual growth while living together in Los Angeles. Their journey in the big city was rooted in a daily pursuit to seek God’s purpose for their lives. As the two best friends and roommates spent more time learning about the Bible and chasing after the Lord, He began to reveal visions, strengths, and spiritual gifts they didn’t know were within them. While under the profound teaching of Bishop Kenneth Ulmer and the Faithful Central Bible Church, Lauren and Meagan believed God was calling them to start an “unconventional ministry” for millennial women. Jesus Christ is the foundation of Lauren and Meagan’s friendship and it all started with accountability. Lauren and Meagan have been friends since 2012 and the dynamic duo continue to walk through life as accountability partners – in good and bad times. God always has and continues to use them to speak to one another, teach one another, and learn from one another. As they continued to seek the Lord individually, He revealed a way for them to serve His kingdom collectively. It has always been an earnest desire to reach women like them and to be able to relate, share, and uplift other women along this journey called life with Jesus.
